Exporting Statistics

Accessing the Export Options

Once statistics have been calculated and reviewed, you can download the results from the Export tab in the Zonal Statistics panel.

This section provides several export options depending on the level of detail you need — from summarized zone-level metrics to detailed, plant-by-plant data.

Exporting Zonal Statistics Data

Under Zonal Data, you’ll find three primary export formats:

  • CSV – exports a tabular dataset where each row represents one zone or plot, and each column corresponds to a calculated metric (e.g., NDVI mean, NDRE median, Height max). Best for analysis in tools such as Excel, R, or Python.
  • Shapefile (SHP) – exports the geometric boundaries of each plot along with their calculated attributes. Suitable for use in GIS applications such as QGIS or ArcGIS.
  • GeoPackage (GPKG) – a modern alternative to Shapefile that stores all geometries and attributes in a single file. Ideal for workflows requiring a single, portable file format.

Exporting Plant-Level Data

For datasets that include Plant Counts or other plant-level analyses, an additional section — Plant-Level Data — will appear in the Export panel.

This allows you to download raw, per-plant results in the same formats:

  • CSV – exports a table where each row represents an individual detected plant. Includes X/Y coordinates, metric values, and the corresponding Zone ID or Plot ID for each plant.
  • Shapefile (SHP) or GeoPackage (GPKG) – exports spatial data of individual plants as point geometries, linked to their zones or plots.

This export is particularly useful if you want to:

  • Perform advanced statistical analysis at the individual plant level.
  • Compare plant distribution or health variation within a single plot.
  • Combine plant-level data with external datasets or field notes.

Choosing the Right Export Format

Downloading the Files

Once you’ve selected the format, click Download. The file will be generated and saved to your local computer.

All exported files are ready for direct import into most spreadsheet, GIS, or statistical software packages.
